Affectionately known as “The Three Amigos,” Archbishop Joseph A. Fiorenza, Rabbi Samuel E. Karff, and Reverend William A. Lawson shared a remarkable friendship that transcended faith traditions, race, and culture. United by a commitment to compassion, justice, and unity, they became trusted voices for civil rights, interfaith understanding, and community collaboration, working together to address homelessness, poverty, education, racial equity, affordable housing, access to justice, and other pressing challenges. Their enduring friendship and collective leadership demonstrated the power of faith, friendship, and service to unite people around a common purpose, inspire action, and create lasting change.
